Itineraries
Day 1
The Sphinx, Giza Pyramids & Saqqara
Your Egyptologist tour guide will meet you in your Cairo or Giza hotel 9am, then you will be transferred to Saqqara, south of Cairo, where you will visit the oldest pyramid was ever built in Egypt – the Step Pyramid 2700 BC – and the ancient Egyptian Mastaba tombs with the ancient scenes depicted on its walls from over 4000 years ago. After Saqqara, on the way to Giza, there will be a short visit to the Papyrus Paper Institute to learn how the ancient Egyptians were making it. A break for lunch in a nice local restaurant (optional) will follow, and then you will travel to the Giza Plateau. There, your tour guide will tell you about the mysterious pyramids and the Great Sphinx. Next, you will go to a panoramic area to take some nice photos of the pyramids, then proceed to the Sphinx and learn from your tour guide about the secrets behind it, and visit the Valley Temple. Then you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Day 2
Egyptian Museum, Alabaster Mosque, & Khan El Khalili Bazaar
You will meet with your tour guide in the morning then start the tour visiting the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, where you will enjoy seeing the treasures of King Tutankhamen and much more from the ancient Egyptian history Next, you will visit the Alabaster mosque of Mohamed Ali which was built inside the Fort of Saladin and has the most beautiful view over old Cairo. Afterwards, enjoy a nice walk exploring the old Bazaar of Khan Al Khalili in medieval Cairo. Your lunch break will be at a nice Nile view restaurant (optional), and after the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Day 3
Alexandria
You will meet your guide at 6am in your hotel and then by a private air-conditioned car you will travel to Alexandria City, just north of Cairo. Spend the day exploring this ancient city which was founded by Alexander The Great after the Greek conquest of Egypt in 332 BC, and was home to Queen Cleopatra. You will visit the Roman Catacombs and Amphitheater, the Fort of Sultan Qaitbay overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Pompeys Pillar and the Serapeum of Alexandria. We will then travel to the treasured Library of Alexandria (see it from the outside), and have lunch at a lovely restaurant by the sea. Then you will be driven along the Cornish Sea and end your tour with a visit to the Al Montazah Palace and Gardens. We will then travel back to Cairo where you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Wear comfortable clothing suitable for periods in hot arid climate, and shoes suitable for walking in sand, as well as on uneven surfaces. Hats, sunglasses, and loose layers of clothing are recommended.
